Spanglish Movies was created in October 2014 by a group of executives of Major Studios who decided it was time to offer Latin American filmmakers the know-how and working processes that Hollywood film distributors had been applying since the beginnings of the film industry.

We create partnerships with licensees around the world, allowing our content creators to benefit from the transfer of rights to broadcast productions to cinemas, free-to-air and subscription TV channels, streaming platforms, and distributors of home-made formats in all possible markets worldwide.

Our goal is to build an economically viable industry, transparent, continuously growing, and able to bring more content of higher quality year after year. To achieve this purpose, we count on a team of professionals with ample trajectory within the film industry.

Gustavo Rodríguez Aparicio

After more than 15 years of experience managing leading companies in the Fortune 500 listing and independent media initiatives, Gustavo applied his knowledge as Managing Director of 20th Century Fox to re-ignite the operations of that company in several territories, leading them to convert this Major in a market leader for 10 consecutive years. Gustavo has a BS in Engineering, as well as Marketing and Economics degrees from UC Berkeley and UC San Diego, and holds three media technology patents.
Marcello Gagliardi Lugo
Acquisition Manager
Social communicator graduated at UCAB (Venezuela). He has over 10 years of experience working for media such as Circuito X, cinematographic exhibitors such as Cines Unidos and distributors like 20th Century Fox. He has made corporate videos, documentaries and short films, as well as research on film financing in emerging markets and business opportunities for filmmakers. He also serves as director of the portal AmoIrAlCine.com.

Sigrid Salcedo
Financial and Administration Manager
For over 20 years, Sigrid was responsible for the operational and logistical management of 20th Century Fox's office in Venezuela, ensuring the arrival and delivery of marketing materials and films to cinemas and taking accurate control of the finances of the company for that territory. It's a enterpreneur by vocation, applies this knowledge to the administrative and sales follow-up towards our clients.

Victoria Weffer
Marketing Manager
With more than 8 years of experience in marketing, Victoria is Magna Cum Laude graduated at UMA (Venezuela) with a Magister in advertising in Madrid. Community manager, graphic designer for hobby and fashion designer by vocation, is specialized in the management of social networks as a primordial instrument of contact with the followers of cinematographic projects.

University professor of the Venezuelan Cinema and Film Critics Chairs at the Andrés Bello Catholic University of Caracas, Venezuela (2014-2018). Founding member of Caracas Film Critics Circle . Programming Manager of the film distributor Cinematográfica Blancica (2018), Screenwriter, Director and Producer of the feature films of fiction THE WORST MAN OF THE WORLD (2017) and INFIDELS (In post).
